You get so much for what the stores were charging for this set. Two great figures, a target-master and a matrix. This set is worth every penny
Great set! Can't wait for these figures to be re-released. Hot Rod, even with lack of posability, is great.
Not worth the current going price. Rodimus has solid blue windows, a terrible looking flame missile (that I threw out), and his flame deco on his hood is barely noticeable. Cyclonus is okay, but needs some sticker decals. The metal Matrix is awesome and makes an awesome custom "Dead" Matrix. I Reprolabeled these guys, as without them, they look bland...
Already had a classics Hot Rod, so I bought this for the Cyclonus. The included Hot Rod has a brighter shade of red than the original.
This is a great set! Rodimus and Cyclonus are both great figures as far as poseability and transformation go, but their paint apps are lacking. Nightstick is a great Targetmaster style figure. The included comic is a very nice bonus, as is the metal Matrix.
kind of just bought this spur of the moment. figures are ok, im pretty indifferent to it. sealed in package.
These are two exceptionally good figures packed together as repaints. Although these figures are great all around, this version of Rodimus uses much cheaper quality plastic and is plagued by horrible paint apps.
I got this two pack just for the Cyclonus figure, even though I have the original. The colors on this version just seem a lot more G1 cartoon accurate, though I added some extra paint apps to it since the colors ar a bit mismatched in some places.
I ditched the Hot Rod figure though. That thing's a mess and their attempt to make give it more cartoon accurate colors just leaves the figure looking too bright and garish. I can't believe that they painted over the windows with that awful blue paint!
an awesome retooling of the original cyclonus decked out in G1 colors, complete with his targetmaster, nightstick!
Cyclonus is one of the best Transformers repaints in years, but Rodimus falls short due to having loose arms joints.
Great two-pack with legendary Rodimus and charismatic Cyclonus (and his TF-rifle Nightstick) chasing the Matrix of Leadership through space. Figures are nice but maybe too plastic-colored, and the transformation of Cyclonus is very surprising. Sold with a comic book by IDW.
Really a great set. I wasn't the biggest Rodimus fan but I think his figure made me like him more. I wish he could hold the matrix though. Cyclonus is a great figure too, a great transformation and cool little target master
Great little set of repainted Classics/Generations. Rodimus and Cyclonus are both repaints with more cartoon like color schemes. The set even comes with a little metal matrix.
The color-scheme on both rodimus and cyclonus are very G1. Currently I have rodimus inside a clear fansproject protector armor set, its a shame there isn't a better color matching armor set for this particular rodimus. Cyclonus is tall for for a deluxe figure, and very articulate!
Very nice set !!!
Hot Rod's Robot mode and Alt-mode look ok.
Cyclonus's Robot mode is very good. Alt-mode is soso.
Why Nightstick was included but Fireblot not? A bot of a shame...
The die-cast Matrix alone should be enough to make you want this box set, but thankfully, it also comes with three great figures--both 'Rodimus' (it's his Hot Rod model) and Cyclonus are great toys, and who doesn't love a bonus Targetmaster partner? These are good, durable toys with show-accurate paint and well-thought transformations, and certainly worth the asking price. If you see it in store, absolutely don't pass it up!
This is a great set that includes The Matrix of Leadership, A comic, and the best of all, Classics Hot Rod and Cyclonus! Both have great paint applications that make them more cartoon accurate then some of the other releases of the same mold. My only real gripe is the rub insignias on the figures. The same gripe I have with all of the Reveal the Shield releases. I was never a fan of this gimmick as a kid and I still dislike it. The nice thing about that is that they make Reprolabels for the set and for these figures that give them accurate nice looking logos. Even without the Reprolabels, this is a great set and nice anime representations of both Hot Rod and Cyclonus! I highly recommend this set and don't forget the nice addition of the Matrix of Leadership for your Classics collection!!
this set is exactly the same as the universe 2.0 version but does not include galvatron, instead it includes a die cast matrix of leadership with rungs to put it on a necklace
I love this set, as it some pretty good figures that are just meant to go together. It gives me a real Marvel UK comics vibe. The only thing missing is a Death's Head figure! Cyclonus is the better of the two in this pack, and it's neat that his Targetmaster companion is included. Rodimus is OK, although to me he seems more like a plain Hot Rod.
Both of these figures are great renditions of their animated counterparts. Though Rodimus (actually Hot Rod's vehicle mode) has a so so paint job on his chest that hides a lot of the detail, its still a solid figure. My one complaint is that after his transformation into a robot, his back piece doesn't lock when you rotate it and it keeps moving out of position and looks weird. Cyclonus is near perfect. I like the lighter color scheme on this one than his Classics counterpart. Also this Matrix of Leadership fits perfectly in a G1 Prime if you're looking to accessorize your G1 collection.
if you never got these two then get them however the rodimus's colers to me are not good. and teh classics one is better. teh cyclonus is a cool toy and is way better then teh rodimus
I like the RTS series to the Classics and Universe line, the Transformations were very well thought out and the figures are well detailed and durable.
The Cyclonus in this set has the most accurate colors of all the other versions of this mold. Rodimus' colors are pretty OK I guess, but the left arm is very loose.
Wait- doc, so you're tellin' me, that I can get Rodimus AND Cyclonus in one box, with a die-cast Matrix? WOW!
Definitely worth the price for two great figures. The Matrix of leadership that is included is metal and not plastic, with two small holes on it so you can put a chain on.
