This was my first seeker and it started a need to have the set. The great thing about the seekers, no matter how many colors you have, you still absolutely love the figure.

Part of both wave seven and eight four of the Generations line, his wave seven case-mates included Kup, Scourge, and Wheeljack while in wave eight he was packed with Wheeljack, Kup, Warpath, and Scourge. Thundercracker had a retail price of about $12.00 (USD).

The knees are articulated with a single-hinge point that allows for about 90° of movement, from fully extended to half raised, as well as a swivel-point that provides 360° of rotation for the lower leg. In the hips you'll find a ball-joint that provides a variety of movement; about 90° front-to-back, 90° to the side, and a full 360° of rotation when fully extended to the side.

The hands are able to be folded in, but this is not really a point of articulation as it doesn't really add any poseablity to the figure. You'll find that the elbows are articulated with a single-hinge, this allows for about 90° of motion; from fully extended to half-raised. In the shoulders you'll find a single-hinge as well as a swivel point. The hinge allows for about 135° of side-to-side movement, from the lower position to almost fully raised, while the swivel-point provides a full 360° of rotation in a front-to-back orientation from the body.

The head is attached with a swivel-point that provides about 45° of side-to-side motion.

The transformation of this figure is identical to the other Classics/Henkei Seeker molds. The molding details seem to be very sharp and well defined. As an added bonus, Hasbro must have fixed the molds that were used for these figures, because unlike my Henkei Thundercracker, both missile launchers fit snuggly into the peg-holes on the arms.

Even though I am a bit of a Seeker fan-boy, I will readily admit that this is one of the most overused and recolored molds in all of the Trans-Fandom: this mold has been in use since 2007. That being said, most of you have had a chance to experience this mold in one form or another, and have already judged for yourself if you like the mold itself. I've already noted that Hasbro has taken the time to repair the mold, and address the degradation that was such an issue with the later Henkei releases.

Overall this is a good figure for those of you who have been wanting to complete your Classics Seeker collection without having to sell a kidney or liver to purchase the Henkei or BotCon versions of this character. Do I recommend it? Overwhelmingly YES! This is a good figure to have even if you already have one of the other versions of it, even if it is just to display this one while you safely store away your more expensive Thundercracker.

Yet another one of these seekers! How many can one guy have? Well, for me, not enough! He's a darker blue than Thundercracker's typical colors though.

Some may say that the Classics Seeker mold is dated and overused, but that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy this figure! The silver and blue paint apps on Hasbro's version of Thundercracker are gorgeous!

Fantastic figure! Lot's of points of articulation, looks exactly like the classic generation one figure!

Standard blue recolor of Starscream, but the almost metallic-looking silver paint on his chest make him a bit more unique.

Same old Starscream mold, but good colors and paint. I'll admit, I don't mind this mold. Another seeker for the collection.

Got this great generations seeker mold at TFcon 2011. Thundercracker's colors definitely "pop" more in robot mode over alt.

generations thundercracker not only is a great figure, he's my all time favorite character from generation 1, and to have a classics figure i didn't have to pay through the nose for? even better!

This a Generation 2.0 Thundercracker. I am selling my extra display piece and it has been transformed more than a couple of times. All joint are still very good shape and it just needs a little bit of cleaning.

A straight up repaint of Universe Starscream, done in the characters proper G1 colors. Transforms into an F-15 fighter jet and comes complete with a pair of missile launchers that pack a nice punch when fired. Paint is simple and clean, but watch for slight bleds around the white colored wing areas. Transformation is simple and both modes are very G1. No surprises here, just a solid figure and needed part of any Seeker or Decepticon display...

The classics seekers have all looked great so far, and Thundercracker continues the trend. He is my favourite toy of the "original three" as his paint apps look the best. Other than that, he pretty much the same as his seeker companions.

Got this one from walmart. This one was easier to get a hold of than the henkei version. This one has a great paint application as well. Hasbro did a great job with this one. Very nice figure, This one is every bit as good as the henkei version, love them both.

Thundercracker's mold has bee used a thousand times, yet my copy seems to be nigh-perfect. A good character.

This is one of my favorite versions of this figure even though it's been repainted and retooled over and over there is just something that works so well with the shade of blue they used combined with the metallic silver.

This figure is awesome and looks great. I would highly recommend this figure to anyone collecting this line.

I like the Generations collection, the transformations are fun and the figures were thoughtfully designed

Don't get me wrong I really like this mold but the classic seeker is a mold that did not age well. For the time it was sort of mind-blowing but I just think they could do better now.

But for now since it's the best get all 6.
