Sky Shadow

164 Have it 12 Want it
Curator's Notes:

Don't mess with SKY SHADOW - he's one of the most foul, dark-hearted DECEPTICONS in the galaxy. He takes no prisoners and always finds his target. Even the evil MEGATRON shudders when he hears the whine of jet engines in the distance, for it may be SKY SHADOW coming for him! Your terrifying SKY SHADOW figure has all the weapons he needs to wreak havoc in battle! In fighter jet mode, his detachable recon drone can gather the intelligence he needs to make him a big problem for his AUTOBOT enemies. Convert him to robot mode so he can fire his launching missiles!

I passed on the original use of this mold, but i picked this guy up as soon as i saw it. The retool and recolor really made this mold pop and i am glad to have it.

I love the colour scheme and head sculpt of this guy. I have not yet watched Victory, so am unfamiliar with the character, but I can already get a feeling for his personality just from looking at the this toy. He was a great surprise "like" for me, and it's nice to get a few figures from the later Transformers TV shows.

Based off the Transformers Victory character, this updated version uses the same mold as Generations Thunderwing, with a new head sculpt and character accurate colors. He comes complete with a pair of cannons, also repainted from Generations Thunderwing, which are spring loaded and have quite a bit of power behind them, If you liked the Thunderwing mold, and seriously, who didn't like what Hasbro did to update that classic Pretender, you'll like this figure. If you're a fan of Japanese Transformers lore, you'll like this character. If you are a Transformer fan who likes their figures to be both challenging and rewarding, you're going to like this character. He's not the easiest to track down however, so if you happen upon him, grab him. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome looking toy. The head looks totally evil with the horns and that light piping! An honorary member of my seekers display.

A redeco of Generations Thunderwing (just as the G1 Sky Shadow was a redeco of G1 Thunderwing). This one has a simpler transformation compared to others in this line, and seeing his arms on the underside in jet mode is a little disappointing. He has a great headsculpt and detailing, though, and the recon drone is a nice addition.

I like Black Shadow and Blue Bacchus, but this mold isn't all that impressive. The figure's kinda small and the feels like it needs more paint apps, especially for the limbs. The transformation is also overly simplistic and the shoulder pieces also restrict his arm movement a bit.

even though this is a repaint of generations thunderwing, sky shadow is infinitely leagues better. the red, black and grey color scheme brings out the subtle nuances between these molds phenomenally. if you watched transformers Victory, you'll know that sky shadow is another name-change victim, and is actually modeled after the space gangster, black shadow.

either way, from the alt and robot modes to the paint scheme and sculpt, if you've ever seen both toys together, you'll immediately know which one's the's prize.

Possibly my favorite looking Decepticon figure in the Generations line. Kind of an odd choice for a figure, because he appears in the Japanese seasons. Made a cameo in the More Than Meets the Eye comic and Last Stand of The Wreckers, which was pretty awesome. Only gripe about the figure is the loose leg joints.

I did a video review of this figure where I show the transformation and talk about the figure. http://youtu.be/C-cGCf2mIpM

Love this guy! Picked mine up on a whim and was very pleased. He's very well made and has an awesome color scheme. The blasters are surprisingly powerful.
Definitely recommend!

Out of left field when this toy was announced, I wasnt sure if I shouldve gotten it but, black and red never goes wrong and after some research I realized what a cool character he is. Grab him while you can!
