Skullgrin is a reimagining of a G1 Pretender, taking his colors and head sculpt from the Pretender shell. This mold is a redeco of Generations Darkmount. He has a complex transformation, very poseable bot mode, and toooons of c-clip points. He comes with three c-clip weapons in addition to the regular weapon. A lot of bang for your buck.

Pretty good paint colors compared to Straxus/Darkmount. Looks better without the clip-on guns attached to him. Great tank form.

The Darkmount/Straxus mold looks great in this new, pretender-homage version, with the colorscheme and demonic new head sculpt making for a wonderful 'grim and sinister' look to go with that big bruiser tank bulk. He also looks great in tank mode. Great for both play and display, I genuinely love this figure.

This guy looks awesome. I love his colour scheme and it works well in both robot and vehicle mode. There was a blue repaint of him but I really like this one a lot better.

I remember only purchasing this figure, after I had been proven so wrong by darkmount. I thoroughly enjoy this tank mold, and hope it can get released a few more times.

i like the fact that they are brining out the different caracters from the g1 line even though some look like they are just remolded and changed in the face and coloring and a little different weapon.

This toy is an interesting way of treating the Pretender characters, and had it been done with a better mold I may have liked it better. However, to me the Pretender head-sculpt just does not mesh well with the poorly designed Straxus body mold. Another figure best kept as background filler in any classics display. He's a bit out of place without any of the other Pretenders around.

this figure has the same body mold as Darkmount but different color scheme. The head piece is also different and is molded after a G1 series character. I believe season 3 or 4. is a very cool piece and is fully possable.

this toys comes in with how much do you like this deco. he came in blue with a different head and this grey color. i do feel the blue version is better but if you enjoy this character then enjoy him.

I like the Generations collection, the transformations are fun and the figures were thoughtfully designed

Meh repaint and a pass for non complicionests. Mold degradation shows more so on this toy than other repaints and should be avoided if necessary

A fantastic repaint of the Darkmount (Straxus) figure, Skullgrin is my personal favorite of the two. The new head looks absolutely demonic and the colour placement just clicks. I've personally tweaked the transformation to help distinguish the two figures even further. Do yourself a favour and grab him for your collection, you won't regret it!
