My only Soundwave and it's a great one! Tons of articulations and playability. He came out when Transformers were at an all time high and he is one of the many pieces of gold from the line.

Fantastic looking figure that looks very on model with the games. The greys are a little dull, but that's a common problem of the line. Absolutely loved the batteries as weapons gimmick!

Very accurate to the game and i enjoy it more than the voyager version. The transformation is fun and unique and the weapon storage is also a plus.

Looks great but I don't open my transformers :) I only like the original ones or the ones from the movies; so this fits right in there.

Cool communications truck alt mode, but the robot mode proportions looks weird. Hate the feet and he needed a laserbeak. The FOC Voyager version of this design is much better imo.

Based on his Cybertronian appearance in the game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, this is definitely one of the best non-tapedeck Soundwaves out there. Great transformation, high degree of poseability, classic look, and his weapons store in his chest.

soundwave returns as the story of the war that destroyed cybertron, soundwave was megatrons right hand bot and communications specialist

I really dig this guy! He is easy to transform and best of all his ejector! the best gimmick so far for soundwave. He isnt the best of his series, but really good to have him as Megatron's right hand man for display!

Got this guy for my Bday from my gf at the time. Solid figure, really loving the robot mode. I wish he had some little cassettes to go in his chest.

Awesome rendition of the WFC version of Soundwave! Can actually transform into 3 modes, including a boombox-style stance, along with his robot and vehicle modes. Keeps a bit of tradition intact with the head, weaponry, and color scheme. Even the chest opens up, although they sadly never made any minions to go with him.

Super fun to transform, and looks so good. The robot mode is very articulate, and super pose-able. Even though they shouldn't go there, I like how you can store the battery weapons in his chest.

Soundwave is very well made. Both robot mode and alt-mode look like they have jumped straight out of the game.

Although NOT official, Soundwave can be formed (with some imagination) into his 3rd alt-mode, The boombox.

Of this latter mode there are soem different versions flying around ont he web.

This figure is amazing! I love how the weapons store in the chest like the tapes do in other larger versions. It is a great homage to G1. He looks great, he is very articulated, and has great paint applications. His head sculpt is spot and he fits in great with the other War For Cybertron Generations figures. Highly recommended!!

great g1 coloring, looks amazing. The only thing i did not like is he never came with buzzsaw or one of the other cassets like the original g1 did.

A great Deluxe figure! Perfect representation of his video game counterpart, with clear inspiration from his classic cartoon self. He comes complete with a gun and detatchable shoulder cannon. He sports a very nice, detailed paint job with no major issues and his Cybertronian truck alt mode is also very interesting, allbeit, somewhat less exciting then his classic microcassette player alt mode from G1. Still, very nice and highly recommended for any transformers collection...

It was a nice concept, but the ultimate proportions just look off: skinny limbs and big duck feet, plus the alt-mode, at least for mine, doesn't hold together properly. The voyager class ones look better designed: wait for those!

This is my only Soundwave to date, and is an interesting take on the character. Although he doesn't have his "boom box" alt-mode, the figure still incorporates all of his distinctive features, including the "tape deck" door, the shoulder cannon, and paint scheme. Like the other War for Cybertron figures, he is a great display piece.

Got this one for my wife from walmart when it first came out. It's not as good as the newer version because of the lack of colors but it is still awesome.

this is an amazing Soundwave from the war for cybertron video game. Totally recommend him. He looks awesome in both modes. Is very articulate and can make some really awesome poses. However is also very hard sometimes to transform into vehicle mode.

How do you turn a cassette player into a vehicle? It's difficult but they did a great job with Soundwave. He is an awesome looking armored car that still homages his G1 counterpart right down to batteries/canisters that become weapons able to store inside his body. It's a shame he didn't come with some storeable versions of his tape buddies.

great figure, a new design of the original fan favorite Soundwave, based on the War For Cybertron game model. Unlike previous version this figure comes with no tapes, unlike its newer FOC version.

This figure is awesome and looks great. I would highly recommend this figure to anyone collecting this line.

I like the Generations collection, the transformations are fun and the figures were thoughtfully designed.

Soundwave is a good figure that with a bit of extra effort could have been a great one. His vehicle mode is pretty nice, though severely lacking in the paint details that made him "pop" in the "War for Cybertron" game. His transformation is simple but fun, and his robot mode is alright. A little frumpy and kibbly in the middle, but he still has decent articulation and can get into some decent poses. Overall, an okay figure.

The only reason I did not give this figure five stars is because he has no minions. Soundwave is all about popping Laserbeak or Ravage out of his chest to do some mission for Megatron.

By himself he is a great figure. The weapons go into his chest (where minions should go) while he is in vehicle mode. With the fanmode boombox this is the best none G1 release in my opinion. Get one if you don't have one.

One of the best iterations from Soundwave i have ever seen. Articulation and posability are excelent

a great toy that indeed does soundwave justice in representing him from the game with nice sculpt and articulation withe a couple of g1 nods here and there
