Kickback

Curator's Notes:

Along with Bombshell and Shrapnell, Kickback was one of three Insecticons released in 1985. A menacing colour scheme and evil looking insect modes made these low price point figures a constant presence in many collections to this day. Watch for chrome wear.

Another fav. Got all 3 insecticons at a TFCON for $40! Couldn't have passed that one up! For some reason I vividly remember them from when I was a kid.

Love, love, love this figure! The Insecticons are awesome figures! It's nice to finally get them after all these years. Kickback's probably my favorite out of the entire trio.

kickback has always been one of my favorite insecticons, even though he didnt have much of character in the cartoon

Kickback has a very simple transformation mode. His insect mode isn't that great, but his robot mode looks great.

G1 Transformers are the ones that started it all. Beginning in 1984 and going through 1990. Many of us enjoy these over others.

I found this guy at a collection sale. He is in good shape, no broken parts but he is missing his weapon. I only use him in insect mode to go along with the Fansproject insecticons.

This was the only insecticon that I have ever owned, and I had it when I was a kid. I would have to say that kickback is my favorite insecticon of all, love his transformation, very unique looking, and very cool in insect, and robot mode.

Another one of the many 'flip over for robot mode!' toys that G1 gave us. Like most G1 toys he lacks articulation, but has a simple, quick transformation that leaves you wondering why they even bothered with instruction manuals. Remarkably spot-on to his show appearance, Kickback's simplicity should never fool you into thinking he isn't a great toy and a great add to any collection.

Kickback is well known for having been the main-est character of the Insecticomics, run by WaywardInsecticon.

Another awesome G1 figure. He looks almost like his cartoon character. He isnt very articulate at all but most G1 Figures warn t. Combine him with his brothers to make devistator. Some argue him to be the first combiner but if you count reflector then he comes in a close second. Still all in a ll a great piece of history and a very cool piece.
