Energon

Transformers Energon is the second line in the Unicron Trilogy, following Armada and coming before Cybertron. The Energon toy line had three distinguishing elements: combination between robots, combination between clear plastic weapons and accessories, and clear plastic energon stars.

Powerlinx robots could combine with other robots of the same class size. Larger robots combined with themselves to form "Brute modes" and three combination teams rounded out the roster.
