A bit bulky and outdated compared to recent deluxes, Astrotrain still has a certain charm. Takara version has better colors but this one still looks cool.
This is a very cool triple-changer, and a great update to this classic figure. Switching from bullet train to space shuttle feels like a natural transition, and robot mode is very well done.
Glad to finally get an update to this figure. My only thing is basically the front end of the train doesn't hide very well...
Not bad for their first attempt at a triple changer in the Classics line. Works out better than Tankor/Octane, but a voyager release would've helped.
From robot mode to rubsign, there's nothing about this Classics-line update of Astrotrain that isn't a delight. He has fun, simple, smooth transformations between all three modes, and plays and displays wonderfully. His articulation is also, while not much compared to some toys, surprisingly stellar for what I expected by all accounts to be a full-on brick. The bright white might be less accurate or detailed than the Takara version, but make no mistake: this guy is FUN and he looks GREAT. You can't lose with Astrotrain. Hey Hasbro, more of this guy!
he is a very good toy and is quite fun. my only beef with him is the cover over the arms. ive never been a huge fan on those arms but the rest of teh figure is great
The first triple made in the Classics line, Astrotrain provides a pretty good update to his G1 toy. All three modes are quality although the American releases white coloring is a bit lacking in the detail department.
One of my most "played" with transformers I own. I like the; colors, tranformations, robot mode, space ship mode, and train mode. Not just that though, articulation is prime!
One of many original decepticon characters under Megatrons Army, usually see him as a transport for the decepticons.
Great idea for Hasbro to modernize G1 Astrotrain into a NASA Space Shuttle and bullet train. However, I'd like to see an attempt to a Masterpiece Astrotrain.
Triple changer deluxe....do I need to say more?
Must have for CHUG collectors.
A good mold that looks great in white in purple, though if you're only going to get one, I'd go with the grey/purple Takara version. Shuttle and robot modes are excellent, and train mode is not entirely convincing, but worth picking up!
This is a good representation of the character. I think all three modes for this figure work well, but robot mode is lacking in articulation. Perhaps a larger class-size would have been beneficial to this. Good classics update, and decent for a more background character.
An extremely fun figure that I highly recommend! All three modes are wonderful, though robot mode is a tiny bit lacking in articulation.
I really like this figure because it really is a good likeness to a great character but i do think it should have been leader sized.
This is a fun, great looking toy that has a nice transformation. Both modes look really good and it poses well. Shuttle mode has some train parts showing but overall this toy is really great.
I bought this figure to further my classics collection and I regret it. It is a nice mold but it's a brick. It can't be placed in many interesting poses. The shuttle mode is the best part of this figure for me. Definitely better then Octane/Tankor but if it weren't for collecting Classics I would pass.
