Transformers

Transformers blasted onto the US scene in 1984 with a cartoon and a dominant toy line based on figures taken from various Japanese product lines. An instant hit, Transformers popularity initially faded in the late 80s only to show resurgence with the popular Beast Wars line in the mid-90s and to retake the crown as the top boys toy globally with the release of three hit movies in the mid 2000's. Across dozens of product lines the Autobots and evil Decepticons still battle for supremacy.
